- How do I apply for a library card?

While there are general WCCLS policies regarding issuing library cards, WCCLS member libraries do have individual policies as well. Contact your local WCCLS library for details. In general, you will need a piece of identification showing that you reside in Washington County.

- Can I renew materials online?

Yes, you can renew your library materials interactively. For more information, see the page Online Renewals, or go directly to your Patron Account to login and renew materials.
- What is the Telephone Renewal Line?

The Telephone Renewal Line is a way for you to renew your items by phone from home or wherever you have access to a telephone. Call the Telephone Renewal number (503 846-3245) to hear library and account information, and to renew items by telephone.
You will be asked for your library barcode (account ID) and password to access your account.

- How do I request an Interlibrary Loan for an item not in the catalog?

If you want to borrow an item that is not in the Washington County Cooperative Library Services (WCCLS) catalog , it might be possible for your library to borrow it from another library system. Each member library has its own policies and procedures for ordering materials through Interlibrary Loan. More information is available at on our Interlibrary Loan page
- Can I still have library materials mailed to my home?

Washington County Cooperative Library Services does not currently have a books by mail service. However, there are some services available for homebound patrons. For more information or to see if you qualify, visit the Homebound Services section of this website.
- Are there outreach services for homebound adults?

Washington County Cooperative Library Services (WCCLS) Homebound Service provides mail delivery of library materials and information free-of-charge to Washington County residents who are physically unable to visit their public library. To qualify for this service, the patron must be homebound, the caregiver of a homebound person, or living in a Nursing Home, Residential Care Facility, or Assisted Living Facility.

- What special equipment is available for public use in WCCLS libraries? ( Adobe Reader required.)

WCCLS member libraries have a variety of equipment available for public use, ranging from photocopiers, microfilm readers, and audiovisual equipment to computer software and hardware such as floppy disk drives (including floppy disks for sale), CD drives, USB ports, word processing software and wireless internet access. - Which area libraries offer proctoring services for exams and tests? ( Adobe Reader required.)

Several WCCLS member libraries offer free proctoring services (for test-taking), while others do not. (You will need the free Acrobat Reader to view this file.) Please be sure to call the library for details if it is listed as offering proctoring services.
- Are there public meeting rooms available in WCCLS libraries? ( Adobe Reader required.)
