There are many ways to support your library:
The Hillsboro Public Library encourages and accepts donations of library materials. Donations are considered outright and unrestricted, to be used in the best interest of the Library. Materials accepted include hardcover books, paperbacks, children's materials, DVDs, CDs, cassettes, LPs, audio books, software and game cartridges. Please bring all items for donation to the Hillsboro Main Library at 2850 NE Brookwood Parkway during regular Library hours (http://www.hillsboro.plinkit.org/). Library employees cannot appraise donations for tax purposes. For the protection of the donor, it is recommended that such appraisals be done by a qualified party before bringing donations to the Library. A receipt for tax purposes will be provided upon request. Materials not used by the Library are given to the Friends of the Hillsboro Public Library for online sales and for the twice-yearly in-library booksales. All proceeds benefit the Library.
Monetary donations given as bequests and memorials are welcomed. As a department of City government, donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent provided by law. In values under $1,000, cash and checks are accepted and should be made out and mailed to:
