General Overview
Appearance
- No more pop-up windows! This cuts down on errors in browsers that block pop-ups.
- Navigation links are bigger, easier to see, and change based on what you are doing.
- There is a link to a Large Text version of the catalog on every page, upper left corner
Searching
General
- Watch the navigation menus on the left-hand side—they change based on your searching.
- You can also limit your search, using options on the left side of the page. Some options are:
- Type of Material
- Subject
- Author
- Series
- Publication Date
- Using any of these limiting options creates a breadcrumb trail under the search box at the top of the page, which you can use to back up or modify your search as desired.
Browse searching has changed
- Title browse is now more compact, and is listed by format types
Search Results
- Individual title information appears on the same page as the search results, making it easier to keep your place in the list of results.
- "More Info" link has gone away; you can get to the same information from the Availability or Full Display links instead.
- NoveList and other enriched content links appear with the title display.
- Use the Availability, Full Display and Hide Details button to expand and contract individual titles
- Publication date now shows under the format icon in the search results display
- Search results navigation is improved. You can now jump to a specific results page without having to page through all of your results. Want page 5 of 30 results pages? Just click on the "5". Or use the < back and forward > arrow links to navigate.
- Change the number of results listed on each page of search results (go to the Search Options page to do this). The default is 10, you can choose 10, 20, 30, 50 or 100
Patron Account
- See total number of items out at a glance on any page in the Patron Account section.
- New “Information” icon
 in your patron account on the Requests page. This icon now links to complete information about individual holds.
