Returning downloaded audiobooks early

WMA formatted titles cannot be returned early once they are downloaded. Audiobooks cannot be renewed. Click here or scroll down for instructions for mobile apps.

Return MP3 audiobooks on your PC (not compatible with Macs)

Open OverDrive Media Console (must be the latest version of the software, upgrade here), highlight the title you want to return, and click the Delete button.

A window will open asking whether you want to Return/Delete or just Delete. Choose Return/Delete.

Return MP3 audiobooks on your mobile app

These instructions apply to iOS (Apple) and Android devices.

Open the OverDrive Media Console app on your device and tap on the plus sign next to the book you want to delete.

A box will pop up - choose Return/Delete.

Another box asks you if you want to Return then Delete, or just Delete. Choose Return then Delete.
