6:30 PM to 8:30 PM - City of North Plains, NW Commercial Street: Join us for our Adult Summer Reading Kickoff while enjoying a free community event featuring ice cream and fresh strawberry toppings. We will be demonstrating our 3M Cloud Library e-book service, signing up fellow book-lovers, and giving away goodie bags. Come get all the information including the prizes, drawings and becoming a Reading Hero. New this year, Library Staff, Library Board members, Friends of the Library and Library Volunteers are issuing a challenge to the adults of greater North Plains to reach a goal of collectively reading one million pages by the end of summer – Library Folk versus our Reading Public. There will be weekly contests with prize drawings. The program will run through August 31.
