Find titles: search, browse, place holds, check out

How to browse for titles

Be sure to log in to your Library2Go account before you search. WCCLS purchases additional titles just for WCCLS cardholders, and you won't see them unless you are logged in to your Library2Go account with a WCCLS card.

Log in by tapping on the account icon and then choosing Washington County Cooperative Library Services from the drop-down menu. Enter your WCCLS card number, starting with 23614.

You can browse for new items by using the categories at the top of the page, or by scrolling down and viewing the titles on display.

For better browsing, with more specific categories, tap on Advanced Search.

Leave the Title and Author fields blank. Instead, choose the subject you want to browse by, and choose the format you want.

Not sure which format to choose? Visit our Download page to find out which format is best for your device.

If you are visiting Library2Go from a mobile device, you may not be able to see WMA (audiobook) or PDF (ebook) format titles. To browse for those, use the website on a computer.

If you only want to see titles that are available right now for checkout, check the "Only titles with copies available" button before you search. If you don't mind placing holds for titles you want, tap on "My library's collection" and then tap on the Search button.

If you are visiting Library2Go from a mobile device, you may not be able to see WMA (audiobook) or PDF (ebook) format titles. To browse for those, use the website on a computer.

If a book is checked out and you need to place a hold on it, the icon at the top-right of the book jacket will be greyed out. If the book is available for check out now, the icon will be darker.

Tap the ribbon at the bottom-left of the book jacket to add it to your wishlist in your Library2Go account.

Under the "Show Me" drop-down menu, choose "Only titles with copies available" to limit your search to books available for checkout now.

If you know the exact author or title you want to search for, put your search words in quotes to only see those exact results. For example, search for "Stephen King" (firstname lastname) or "Water for Elephants."

How to place a hold

Tap on the book to place it on hold.

Tap on the Place a Hold button.

Enter your WCCLS card number, starting with 23614. Leave out the spaces.

Type in the email address where you want to be notified when the hold is ready for you.

You will see a confirmation screen. You have 72 hours from the time the email is sent to log in and add your hold to your bookshelf.

You can change the email address for the hold by tapping on Edit. To cancel the hold, tap on Remove.

How to check out a title (add it to your bookshelf)

Tap on the book you want to check out (also known as adding the title to your bookshelf).

Before you borrow the book, make sure that the loan period is what you would like it to be. Just below the Borrow button, it tells you how long you will have the book for.

You can check out ebooks and audiobooks in Library2Go for 7, 14 or 21 days. To change the default loan period for your account, and for the title you are about to borrow, click on the Change link. Once you have made your loan period changes, click Done to be taken back to this screen.

This page tells you the formats the book is available in, and how many copies are available. To borrow the book, tap on the Borrow button.

Once you've borrowed the book you will notice a little flag at the top of the page that confirms the book has been added to your bookshelf. That flag also tells you how many checkouts you have left. To go to your bookshelf so you can download the title, tap on Go to Bookshelf.

From your bookshelf, you can:

  • Return the book
  • See how many books you have checked out
  • See when your books expire from your account
  • Download the book to read it

How to get a hold that is ready for you

When you get an email letting you know that a hold is ready for you, you have 72 hours from the time the email was sent to log in and add your hold to your bookshelf.

Tap on the account icon or on the Sign In link at the top-right of the screen to log in to your Library2Go account.

Choose Washington County Cooperative Library Services from the drop-down menu. Then enter your WCCLS card number, starting with 23614.

If you haven't already done this for your Library2Go account, check the default loan periods for your account. If you do not adjust them, when you check out books on hold, you will get a 7 day loan period. Other options are 14 or 21 days, but you need to set that in your account defaults. This is easy to do and we have instructions on that here.

Tap on Holds to see your titles on hold. Tap on the Borrow button to add the title to your bookshelf. Your bookshelf will load and you will be able to download the title from there.
