- Coordinates Summer Reading activities

Early Childhood Literacy
- WCCLS Librarians are licensed to teach parents and child care providers about literacy development in young children and how to incorporate literacy activities into children's lives.
- Themebag kits specially designed for parents and child care providers are available for checkout at all member libraries.
- Literacy classes and themebags are also available in Spanish

- Works with the Spanish-speaking community through library tours, classes for child care providers and parents, specially requested storytimes, and print materials
- Assists member libraries in developing Spanish language programs, collections and services
- Consults with member libraries on issues involving the Latino community
