WCCLS Announces Schedule for Catalog Upgrade

Updates to software to include new look and functionality

Washington County, Oregon:  The Washington County Cooperative Library Services (WCCLS) catalog and online accounts will be unavailable starting at 6:00 pm on Sunday, August 18th. WCCLS is upgrading the library's software system and expects the catalog and online accounts to be unavailable until sometime on Tuesday, August 20th. During this transition library materials will not be due on Sunday, August 18th and Monday, August 19th.

While the system is down, library users will not be able to search for library materials or place requests, log into their accounts, or renew their items online or by telephone. During the downtime, users can still download e-books and audiobooks from Library2Go (www.wccls.org/library2go ) and log in to other online resources via the WCCLS website (www.wccls.org).

Once access to the catalog and online accounts is available again, WCCLS will post a notice to their News & Events blog (http://news.wccls.org), as well as to Facebook (www.facebook.com/wccls) and Twitter (www.twitter.com/wccls).

Updates to the software include a new look for the WCCLS catalog on desktop computers. The mobile version, available at http://m.wccls.org, will feature some additional functionality. This includes the ability to create saved searches and saved title lists. To see videos demonstrating saved searches and saved title lists, visit http://www.wccls.org/lending_library/whats-new.

If library users have any questions, they may contact their local WCCLS member library for assistance. A list of all WCCLS member libraries and their contact information is available at www.wccls.org/your_libraries.

The Washington County Cooperative Library Services (WCCLS) includes: Banks Public Library, Beaverton City Library, Beaverton City Library @ Murray Scholls, Cedar Mill Community Library, Cedar Mill Community Library @ Bethany, Cornelius Public Library, Forest Grove City Library, Garden Home Community Library, Hillsboro Public Libraries (Main and Shute Park), North Plains Public Library, Sherwood Public Library, Tigard Public Library, Tualatin Public Library, and West Slope Community Library. Two specialty libraries are also a part of the Cooperatives library card service — the Oregon College of Art & Craft and the Tuality Health Education Resource Center.
