Getting Started
Using Polaris PowerPAC, you can connect to the library via the Internet from a remote location such as a personal computer in your home, dormitory, office, or classroom, or from public access computers in the library. Your library may offer some or all of these activities through Polaris PowerPAC:
- Search the online catalog at the library
- Search other libraries, databases, and Internet sites
- Contact a virtual reference librarian
- Set up and run automatic searches
- Request that an item be obtained and held for you at a library location of your choice, or purchase a title directly online
- Build a title list, and save, print, or send the title list by e-mail in your choice of several formats
- Open a new library account, or update an existing account
- Check your fines and fees
- Renew items you have checked out
- Link to library and community information
Online Help, which covers all Polaris PowerPAC functions, is always available.
