Glass Mosaics Inside & Out

Three Sessions June 15 - June 18 June 15 9:30 am- 1:30 pm June 16 9:30 am - 2:30pm (with 45 minute lunch break at 12:30 pm) June 17 9:30 - 12:00 pm For ages 16+. $125 fee payable at the beginning of class. Register at www.tualatinlibrary.org or call our reservation line at 503 691.3077. Classes to be held at the Van Raden Center located at 8535 SW Tualatin Rd, Tualatin, OR 97062 inside Tualatin Community Park. In this workshop, students will create a colorful glass mosaic to hang on your wall or outside on the side of your house. Broken mosaic pieces will be attached to either a wood or cement backing, depending on location of installation. All your questions and concerns for the right tools and techniques can be answered by taking this class. All materials are provided in the class fee. Local artist Mark Brody teaches the class. Check out his "Diving into a Book" Mosaic that is hanging in the library. Mark won a national award for this piece!

Recycled Arts Class

Ages 16+ Wednesday, July 8, 7pm, Tualatin Public Library. $25 materials fee to be paid at the beginning of class. In this class you will learn from local Recycled Artist Kathleen Chamberlin how to look at the world through only texture, form and color. Explore how to combine recycled objects and materials to create a wonderful, symbiotic recycled arts collage of your very own to take home.
