Founded in 1938, Beaverton City Library is one of the busiest public libraries in the state. The library offers over 340,000 items for check-out including books, magazines, maps, DVDs, Blu-ray, videogames, and CDs while providing almost 2,000 programs a year for all age groups and interests.

Beaverton City Library Main and Murray Scholls locations are proud to serve our diverse community, collecting materials and offering programs in multiple languages; library volunteers hail from over 35 countries. The library provides access to approximately 40 computers for public use, a typewriter, and a fax machine to send local and toll-free faxes. The library contains several large meeting rooms and a 150 seat auditorium for public use. For information about booking these rooms contact the City of Beaverton.
