About the Library

Two girls looking at books next to a bookshelf

The library was established in 1976 as Banks Community Library and moved to its current location in 1997.

Each of the 16 WCCLS libraries are individually governed – by either a city, Washington County, or a nonprofit board. Banks is a city library.
