Cedar Mill Community Library's branch is located in the Bethany Village Shopping Center off of Bethany Boulevard.

The Cedar Mill Community Library @ Bethany was established in 2007. In early 2007, with population and library use increasing, the Cedar Mill Community Library board looked into expansion options. Central Bethany Development offered a 1,800 square foot retail space with very favorable leasing terms. The Bethany branch opened in July 2007. The library moved across Central Drive to its current location in June 2009, expanding to 4,600 square feet of space.

10:30 AM to 11:00 AM - Bethany Library: This program will feature active listening with short books, flannel board stories, nursery rhymes, songs, and finger plays with an emphasis on Early Literacy skills.Every Monday at 10:30 am & 11:30 am, January 12 - March 2* and March 30 - May 18.*Library closed on Monday, January 19. Held in the Children's Area in the library.

6:00 PM to 7:00 PM - Bethany Library: Read to the Dogs is a program that pairs young readers with trained dog-and-handler teams. This program helps children develop their reading skills in a relaxed, non-judgmental environment. Reservations are Required. To register, drop by or call the Bethany Branch at (503) 617-7323. Due to the popularity of this program, we ask that you please sign up for a maximum of one 30-minute session.

9:30 AM to 10:00 AM - Bethany Library: Early Literacy skills start with songs, rhymes, books and action for walkers and an adult.Every Tuesday from 9:30 - 10:00 am before the library opens, January 13 - March 3 and March 31 - May 19.The library doors will be open ONLY from 9:20 to 9:40 am, so please arrive on time. We will not be able to admit anyone after 9:40.Held in the Children's Area in the library.

9:00 AM to 10:00 AM - Bethany Library: Need help setting up an email account, using your tablet, finding information on the web, or downloading e-books onto an e-reader? Drop by our open computer lab on Thursday mornings from 9-10 am before the library opens. Patient and knowledgeable volunteers and staff will be available to answer your questions. No registration is required, but there is limited space each session. Adults only. For more information, please call the Cedar Mill Library @ Bethany at (503) 617-READ. Please keep in mind:Our volunteer hosts are here to help you learn how to use your computer, laptop, tablet, or other device but are unable to help you fix or diagnose problems.We cannot offer individual computer service or repair advice and are unable to make recommendations about purchasing or referrals for repair of computers.Our volunteer hosts know a lot about computers and software, but may not know your specific Operating System or the software you need help with. They will do their best to answer your questions, but please be understanding if you are looking for help that they cannot provide.

1:00 PM to 4:00 PM - Bethany Library: Join us for Bethany Village's annual Easter Egg hunt on Saturday, April 4 from 1-4pm! The hunt starts at Laurel Parc (15850 NW Central Drive) and kids can pick up a flyer at all participating merchants, including the Bethany branch.
