Introducing the WCCLS Mascot

Meet Wallace the book bug!

Blue bug stuffy wearing headphonesHi. I’m Wallace the book bug, the official WCCLS mascot! I love books and everything that a cool public library has to offer. I like using my WCCLS library card to borrow audiobooks, get homework help, and go on local adventures with my awesome family! When I’m not busy reading, I’m usually playing with other library mascot friends, coloring, writing, or skateboarding. (When it's too hot outside to skateboard, the library is the perfect place to cool off.) I am always curious and ready to learn. Like you, I’m a big fan of the library, and I cannot wait to meet you!

Where’s Wallace?

Yellow gnome with blue bug reading a bookYou can find me hanging out at every WCCLS library! If you spot me, head to the desk and ask for a small prize. Hint: Sometimes I’m shy and might be hiding. Look for me every time you visit the library. While you’re there, pick up my free activity book (a friendly librarian helped me make it). The activity book is fun for anyone who, like me, enjoys things like word searches, crossword puzzles, mazes, or riddles. There’s even a scavenger hunt you can do in the library. After you complete the scavenger hunt, you get to choose another prize! Libraries are just the best.

Follow WCCLS on Facebook and Instagram and see what I’ve been up to. If you want to send me a note, my email is blog@wccls.org.
