Bethany Library is part of the Cedar Mill and Bethany Community Library Association, one of the largest non-profit library organizations in the U.S. The location opened in 2007 in the Bethany Village Shopping Center to serve a rapidly growing community.

Each of the 16 WCCLS libraries is individually governed by a city or non-profit organization. Bethany Library is a non-profit library that relies on volunteers and fundraising made possible in part by its thrift store, Second Edition Resale.
