Washington County ballot drop box at library

A Washington County ballot drop box is located at every WCCLS library or a neighboring City Hall. Ballot drop boxes will remain open until 8 pm on Election Day, Nov. 4.

Ballot drop boxes are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the voting period, which runs from Oct. 15 to Nov. 4 this election cycle. They remain closed outside an election cycle and are typically opened 20 days before an election occurs.

Ballots must be returned by 8 p.m. on Election Day. You can return your ballot: 

  • by mail via the United States Postal Service (USPS)
  • at an Official Ballot Drop Box
  • in-person at the County Elections Office. 

Ballots returned by mail must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received by the Elections Office within 7 calendar days after the election. A postage stamp is not needed when returning a ballot by mail.
