About the Library

The Tigard Library is a vibrant community gathering place that offers more than 800 programs a year for people of all ages, including story times. It has nearly 250,000 items to check out. The library is located on 14 acres and features restful views of nature and wildlife. Special features include drive-up book drops, study rooms that can be reserved, a technology room for computer classes and original artwork.

The library celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2013 and plays a significant role in the Tigard community. It has had several locations over the years and opened a 48,000-square foot library in 2004. The library’s automated check-in system will check in up to 2,500 items an hour and removes returned items from patron’s records more quickly.
