About the Library

Three women (two seated and one standing) looking at magazines in front of a wall of magazine shelves

The library was founded in 1938 and today is one of the busiest public libraries in the state. Beaverton offers programming and materials in multiple languages, as well as access to internet and other technology.

Each of the 16 WCCLS libraries are individually governed – by either a city, Washington County, or a nonprofit board. Beaverton is a city library.
