Connecting books, people and resources
The library was founded in 1950 and moved to its current location in 1978, when voters also approved a tax levy to fund and assume county administration of the library.
Each of the 16 WCCLS libraries are individually governed – by either a city, Washington County, or a nonprofit board. West Slope is the only county-governed library in the WCCLS system. It also benefits from fundraising done by Friends of West Slope.
